Tuatara

Room five has been working on writing reports about native animals. This week we have been learning about the tuatara. We got to work with a buddy to research with and write a report together. When we were finished with the report we put in on a slideshow that we had made. Here is Deakyn's and I's.

Fun Run

On Friday term three Awahono School held a fun run. In the fun run we ran around the school in the morning and played games in the afternoon. After the fun run we thought it would be a good idea to write about it so we wrote a report about it. When we were finished with the writing, we put the words on a slideshow with pictures of the fun run. Here is my one.

Kakapo

In room five we have been learning about the kakapo so that we could write a report about it. We researched our the kakapo by using links that our teacher had put on a slide for us and then we put the ideas on a padlet. Then we made plans for the writing we were going to go to write. We all made our own report which I then put the writing on a slideshow. Here is my one.

My Shared Spelling DLO

Deakyn, Solly and I have been working on a spelling DLO which was what we were supposed to do for the week's assignments. I have been learning about the "ar" sound. Here is the Google drawing that   my friends and I created.

Typing Tutor

I have been learning to not look at the keys when I type. My main goal is to be able to type very fast while not looking at the keys. My goal is is to master typing by the end of the year and am trying really hard to achieve my goal.

Our Spelling Slideshow

In spelling in Room 5 the spelling group that I am in called Betelgeuse has been learning about some new oi sounding words. First we looked them up in the dictionary then put the meanings in our own words on a slideshow. Then we wrote sentences for them and gave a picture.

Collaboration learning

In Room 5 we have been learning about collaboration which means working with others, so we made a DLO about it. I worked with Deakyn when I worked on a Google drawing about how to be a collaborative worker. When we thought of some ideas we divided them into good side and bad side. Hope you enjoy it.
