Writing Reflection

Room 5 has been learning about writing a refection about our work. A little while a ago we wrote a report about a native animal so we wrote our reflection about that. Here it is, hope you enjoy it.

We are learning to reflect on our learning.  To help me write a successful report in a group, usually one or two people in the group research on different sites to get it done quicker. Sometimes I don’t know what to write because I have taken the best ideas out in the earlier sentences. What I liked about working with buddies and writing a report is having time with my friends and doing a report about nature at the same time. It was a bit difficult because I sometimes got distracted by the group and had to keep getting them on track. I could research a it more before I write the report.
I preferred to work with a group because you can research quicker and get work done faster. The good thing that happened in the group was that a lot of the group, including me, worked relentlessly. A flaw was that one person in the group would get stuck frequently. Maybe next time I could help anyone that needed it with every spare moment I have.

Sea Dives Stop Motion Animation

On Wednesday 6th of September Room 5 made stop motion animations. A stop motion animation is when you make a slideshow and you show a little story by duplicating the slide then moving the character a bit to make it really look like they are moving. Because of this it usually takes up a lot of slides. We could choose any topic to do it on so I chose to make mine about diving in the sea. Here is my stop motion animation slideshow about diving in the sea. Hope you enjoy it.

Fractions

In my maths I gave been learning about fractions so I created a slideshow about it to show my learning.
I made a DLO with Solly so that I could work faster. In this DLO we have made a fraction of a set and to show it we made a diagram and a problem.  Here is Google drawing that Solly and I made.

Pompeii

In our info-bytes we have read about Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. In my group in reading we made a DLO google drawing about Vesuvius and what sights, sounds, smells and feelings we would have had if we were a normal citizen in the city when Vesuvius erupted. We also added what people could touch Here is the finished product.
